  • Abrahart / University of Bristol court ruling

    In February 2024 the high court in Bristol declined the UoB’s appeal against the ruling that they broke the Equality Act in the case of Natasha Abrahart. They were found and held guilty to contributing towards her death in 2018. This was a huge moment for our campaign and for the Abrahart family, even if the judge refused to rule on the issue of Duty of Care as well.

  • INQUEST march

    On Sunday 29th of October, we marched through the street of London alongside the charity INQUEST.

  • Labour Fringe Event

    On the 8th of October 2023 some of our team attended the Labour Party conference in Liverpool. We had a slot to give a talk to educate party members on the issue of duty of care - again, in the hope that they would support it’s addtion the party manifesto.

  • Liberal Democrats Fringe Event

    On September 24th 2023 some of our team headed to the Liberal Democrat Fringe Event to educate MPs on our campaign - in the hope that they may add it to their manifesto.

    On June 5th the debate was held in parliament.

    On May 17th 2023 we met with MPs once again in Parliament in order to give evidence for our case pre-debate.

    On April 25th 2023 we gathered our team together to present our campaign in the Jubilee room in the Houses of Parliament.

  • The Vigils

    On Saturday 4th March 2023, 3 vigils were held in London, Edinburgh and Bristol, in memory of the students lost to suicide at university.

  • The petition

    From December until March 19th 2023 we had the near impossible challenge of reaching 100K signatures on our petition to create a legal duty of care in universities.
